The album follows up the release of Roots & Shoots Vol.1, released earlier this year. Volume 2 presents Jim's collaborations with Mike Reno, Jason Scheff, Toby Hitchcock, The Ides of March, Cathy Richardson (Jefferson Starship), and Neil Donnell (of Chicago).

Jim Peterik with his World Stage project, Roots & Shoots, has done a very fine and entertaining thing for the AOR genre: keeping the genre undeniable and vibrant by infusing it with a new generation of significant talent.
