1 giorno fa · Dying in 1852 he was succeeded by his son, Sir Humphrey de Trafford, who in turn was in 1886 succeeded by his son Sir Humphrey Francis de Trafford, the present lord of Trafford and Stretford, twenty-fourth in descent from the Ranulf or Randle who heads the pedigree.

(fn. 16) The original Waldegrave estate in Navestock was increased during the 17th and 18th centuries by the acquisition of the manors of Slades, Bois Hall, Loft Hall, and probably other properties in the parish.
3 giorni fa · 1746. Sir Thomas Rawlinson. Grandson of Daniel Rawlinson, who was first cousin to Sir Thomas Rawlinson (Lord Mayor 1705-6), and father of Sir Walter Rawlinson (Alderman 1773-7). His daughter married Sir George Wombwell, 1st Baronet, and was ancestress of the succeeding Baronets.

The latter's second son Charles Edmund (d. 1951), to whom it was given, altered and enlarged the house between 1882 and 1884. The de Traffords left Hothorpe Hall in 1928 and it was let to tenants until the Second World War.

From 1204 to 1344 the High Sheriff of Staffordshire also served as Sheriff of Shropshire .
