In 1844, two brothers from Venice, Attilio and Emilio Bandiera, members of Young Italy, planned to make a raid on the Calabrian coast against the Kingdom of Two Sicilies in support of Italian unification.

2 giorni fa · Footnotes. Economy, 1839–1900. Until 1841 York lost population by migration but for the rest of the 19th century, excepting the eighties, it gained. This change coincides with the coming of the railways and has led many commentators to connect the two facts.
