Part 1 was scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018, and Part 2 was scheduled for May 3, 2019. Marvel's plan was to film both parts of Infinity War back-to-back.

However, X-Men ’97 dealt with the same plot and made sure that all the plotlines had their time to shine.
