5 giorni fa · A growling string slide opens the track, followed by a couple of clipped root notes, another swoop, and an alternating eighth-note lick that eventually ladders its way back down to the tonic. I was intrigued. It didn’t sound at all like Bootsy Collins, whose swinging 16th-note rhythms with Parliament I was more familiar with.
