DESCRIZIONE: La tela venne collocata nel 1603 sull’altare della cappella del transetto sinistro, costruita nel 1589 dal vescovo Angelo Cesi. Il dipinto mostra, come da tradizione, la giovanissima Maria in cima alla scalinata del tempio, al cospetto del sacerdote.
