  3. William West, Lord de la Warr, made a conveyance of Ewhurst in 1590 but at his death in 1595 still held the manor. His son and heir Thomas (fn. 57) granted it in 1599 to Herbert Pelham (fn. 58) on Pelham's marriage with his daughter Elizabeth, and Pelham sold it the same year.
