Renamed The Jackie Gleason Show, the program became the country's second-highest-rated television show during the 1954–55 season. Gleason amplified the show with even splashier opening dance numbers inspired by Busby Berkeley 's screen dance routines and featuring the precision-choreographed June Taylor Dancers .
