Karin Himboldt (1920–2005) was a German film actress. [1] She is perhaps best known for her roles in the Heinz Rühmann comedy films Quax the Crash Pilot (1941) and Die Feuerzangenbowle (1944).
During the second world war, German cinema (and the cinema from areas then occupied by the Nazis) was completely isolated from the rest of the world. As a result of that, a distinctive style has developed: the humor is very different from what you would expect in an American comedy of the time. It is even lighter, more carefree and even sillier.
