What did Jeff Porcaro die of? Jeff Porcaro died from a heart attack when he was only 38 years old. He left behind his wife and three sons. In August 1992, Porcaro was admitted to Humana Hospital-West Hills in California with a severe case of chest pains. The coroner said he died from a heart attack caused by cocaine use.
