Blackbeard will sail again this September with its official world premiere at the prestigious Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix, AZ. Writer Rob Gardner has reworked and re-imagined the musical for what is being billed as its pre-Broadway event. Tickets for the new production went on sale this week.
Rob Gardner (Book, Music, Lyrics/Music Director/Producer) has composed for film, television, studio recordings, and the concert stage. Among his works are four stage musicals: Blackbeard, Twelve Princesses (both of which earned him AriZoni Theater Awards), Joan of Arc , and The Price of Freedom .
