Flaming Galah is Australian rock band Fraternity's second and final studio album, released in 1972. This album differs musically from their previous effort, Livestock , which consisted mostly of a progressive and psychedelic sound.
In April 2023, the Grape Organisation reissued Flaming Galah on a limited edition green vinyl for record store day. Today, Fraternity continue to be managed by Hamish Henry & The Grape Organisation Pty Ltd, alongside co-director Victor Marshall. Members. By September, Fraternity were touted as "The Next Big Band" by teen magazine, Go-Set. Sam See (Sherbet, The Flying Circus) joined on piano and slide guitar that month. They recorded their second album, Flaming Galah, produced by Grape Productions, which appeared in April 1972.
Naturally, it was Hamish Henry who would come to the rescue, dipping once again into his bottomless pockets to finance the recording of a second Fraternity album named “Flaming Galah” (the Aboriginal name for the rose-breasted cockatoo), produced by Grape Productions and released through RCA in April of 1972.

18 gen 2021 · A year later, Flaming Galah came along with ten tracks, plus a further five for the collectors. The band, expanded to a seven piece outfit (check the photo on the box cover) took on new versions of a couple of tracks from Livestock (making use of extra studio time) and for the good, the direction is much tighter.
