Gli Steppenwolf nacquero alla fine degli anni sessanta a Toronto, città dove il fondatore del gruppo, John Kay (nato in Germania il 2 aprile 1944, vero nome Joachim Fritz Krauledat) si era trasferito come immigrato nel 1958. Il successo
