Al Jolson (born Asa Yoelson, Yiddish: אַסאַ יואלסאָן; May 26, 1886 – October 23, 1950) was a Lithuanian-born American singer, actor, and vaudevillian. He was one of the United States' most famous and highest-paid stars of the 1920s, and was self-billed as "The World's Greatest Entertainer".
American R&B -Soul singer, producer, songwriter and arranger. He was also keyboardist on recording sessions, including the Willie Lester + Rodney Brown production team. Johnson attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. and, while there, co-founded the soul group, the Unifics.
