- Our School
Madras College, often referred to as Madras, is a Scottish comprehensive secondary school located in St Andrews, Fife. It educates over 1,400 pupils aged between 11 and 18 and was founded in 1833 by the Rev. Dr Andrew Bell.
Eligible applications received with complete academic details until midnight of 15th May 2024 ( 10 days from the publication of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary results) will be ranked and considered for selection. Madras College was founded in 1832 by Rev Dr Andrew Bell. Born in St Andrews in 1753, the son of a local magistrate and wig-maker, Dr Bell studied at the University where he distinguished himself in mathematics. He became a Church of England clergyman and took up an appointment as chaplain to the regiments of the East India Company in Madras.
