The original lineup consisted of Jamie Lyons (vocals), Richard Nesta (guitar), Burton Stahl (bass), Bob Avery (organ), and Ray Ransom (drums). The band's biggest hit was the song "Little Bit O' Soul," which was released in 1967 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Bassist Burton Stahl erkende deze beweringen. Zanger Jamie Lyons nam ook verschillende solosingles op bij Laurie Records terwijl hij nog steeds aan het opnemen was met de band.
