Goth Opera is an original Doctor Who novel, published by Virgin Publishing in their Missing Adventures range of Doctor Who novels. It was the first book in that series and a sequel to the New Adventure book Blood Harvest, but it can be read separately.
Goth Opera was the first novel in the Virgin Missing Adventures series. Written by Paul Cornell, it featured the Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka and Nyssa. It built on the narrative in the novel Blood Harvest, which was deliberately crafted to build interest in this novel.

Matthew was a human boy who was one of the first victims of the vampire-transforming vapour. He killed his parents after being changed. Later, after the Time Freeze that Ruath created was broken, he was destroyed by the reappearance of the sun. (PROSE: Goth Opera)
