"Smother" is a single off of Daughter's debut album, If You Leave. Mary Chang of There Goes The Fear commented on the single, saying:"Have you ever experienced so much pain, so much sorrow in a relationship that broke down, so much that you wish you’d never been born?
Daughter is an English indie folk trio. Fronted by North London native Elena Tonra (born 15 January 1990), the band was formed in 2010 after the addition of American-born Swiss guitarist Igor Haefeli and drummer Remi Aguilella from France.
