Tankmaro. Disambiguazione – Se stai cercando l'omonimo abate di Corvey, vedi Tankmaro di Corvey. La morte di Tankmaro. Tankmaro chiamato anche Dedi o Tammo (908 circa – 28 luglio 938) fu l'unico figlio che Enrico I di Sassonia ebbe dalla sua prima moglie, Hatheburga di Merseburgo (o Eteburca).
Il nome, che viene pronunciato Tàmmaro [1], non va confuso con il nome Tamara, che ha origine differente, nonostante la somiglianza (e il fatto che a volte vengano accostati [5] ). Di scarsissima diffusione, è accentrato principalmente in Campania, dove si venera il santo così chiamato [3] .
Tankmaro (... – 878) fu abate di Corvey dall'877 all'878. Fu abate solo per sette mesi e quindi non poteva che lasciare poche tracce. Nonostante la brevità della carica, acquistò diversi beni per il monastero. Sembra che Tankmaro fosse figlio del conte Liudolfo e di sua moglie Oda. Bibliografia
