Fay Surtees Marles AM (née Pearce; born 3 January 1926) is an Australian former public servant. She served as Victorian Commissioner of Equal Opportunity from 1977 to 1987 and Chancellor of the University of Melbourne from 2001 to 2004.

She was its President from 1992 to 1994. Fay Marles was elected to the council of the University of Melbourne on 1 January 1984 and served on it for the next twenty-one years. She was the Deputy Chancellor from 7 April, 1986 to 2 February, 2001, and was elected its eighteenth Chancellor on 3 February 2001, and re-elected 1 January 2002).
10 ott 2023 · The Marles Medal was established in 2020 and is named in honour of Ms Fay Marles AM, an alumna and first female Chancellor of the University of Melbourne. Ms Marles was also the first Victorian Commissioner for Equal Opportunity and a trailblazer in social welfare and public service.
