Snowpony were a British indie rock group initially formed in 1996 by Katharine Gifford and Debbie Googe.
Around this time, the line-up consisted of Gane and Sadier plus vocalist and guitarist Mary Hansen, drummer Andy Ramsay, bassist Duncan Brown, and keyboardist Katharine Gifford. Hansen, born in Australia, had been in touch with Gane since his McCarthy days.

Keyboardist Katharine Gifford joined the band for the recording of the album. During recording, guitarist Sean O'Hagan left as a full-time member in order to focus on his band the High Llamas , but continued to be a session musician for the band ever since.

Profile: Stereolab formed in London in 1990 by record collector Tim Gane (°1964) and French chanteuse Laetitia Sadier (°1968). They were active between 1990 and 2009, after which the band went into hiatus for ten years. In 2019 they reunited for live performances, to promote a year-long seven album reissue campaign.
