The Dublin Legends. Biog. Formerly of the Dubliners: Featuring: Sean Cannon, Gerry O’Connor, Paul Watchorn & Shay Kavanagh are all true legends of the Irish Folk music scene. Sean & Eamonn were members of iconic Folk Group ‘ The Dubliners ’ for close to 30 years while Gerry joined them for the final part of their 50 th Anniversary Tour.
Both Shay Kavanagh (Bass) and Stephen Leeson (Guitar & Vocals), veteran members who played in later lineups with the Dublin City Ramblers. Kavanagh replaced ex-Dubliner Eamonn Campbell in The Dublin Legends after Campbell died of a short illness in October 2017.

Shay is an experienced and accomplished acoustic guitarist and vocalist having worked with other bands including Frances Black, The Buskers, The Wolfe Tones, The Furey Brothers, The Jolly Beggar Men & The Sons of Erin. Formerly the iconic Folk Group The Dubliners, the band now tour as The Dublin Legends. 50 Years on and still going strong.

When lead guitarist Eamonn Campbell sadly passed away in 2017 the lads asked an old friend, Shay Kavanagh, if he would like to come on the road with them and Shay readily agreed. He is a stalwart of the Irish Folk Music scene.
