Zayd ibn ʿUmar (Arabic: زَيْد ابْنِ عُمَر), was a son of the second caliph Omar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and his wife Umm Kulthum bint Ali, a granddaughter of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

7 dic 2018 · Hazrat Zaid (ra) bin Khattab was the elder brother of Hazrat Umar (ra) and had accepted Islam before Hazrat Umar (ra). He was also among the first people to migrate. He participated alongside the Holy Prophet (sa) in the Battles of Badr, Uhud, Khandaq [trench], and was also present at Hudaibiyah and the Bai‘at-e-Rizwan.
He was among ten of the companions whom the Prophet visited one day and promised Paradise. These were Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf, Abu Ubaydah, Talhah, az-Zubayr, Sad of Zuhrah, and Said the son of Zayd the Hanif.
