Biografia. Nato nel Nord Carolina con il nome Henry Churchill De Mille, figlio di William Edward de Mille e Margaret Blount Hoyt, fu uomo di chiesa e di teatro. Pastore della chiesa episcopale, lavorò come commediografo in collaborazione con il famoso impresario e scrittore David Belasco.
Henry Churchill de Mille (September 17, 1853 – February 10, 1893) was an American dramatist and Georgist, and the father of film pioneers Cecil B. de Mille and William C. de Mille, and the paternal grandfather of the dancer and choreographer Agnes de Mille.
