Harry Martinson (Jämshög, 6 maggio 1904 – Stoccolma, 11 febbraio 1978) è stato uno scrittore e poeta svedese. Nel 1949 venne eletto membro dell'Accademia Svedese. Nel 1974 gli venne conferito il Premio Nobel per la letteratura, insieme al connazionale Eyvind Johnson.
Harry Martinson (6 May 1904 – 11 February 1978) was a Swedish writer, poet and former sailor. In 1949 he was elected into the Swedish Academy. He was awarded a joint Nobel Prize in Literature in 1974 together with fellow Swede Eyvind Johnson "for writings that catch the dewdrop and reflect the cosmos". [1]

6 mag 2024 · Nel 1974, l’Accademia di Svezia scelse di premiare, in sostanza, se stessa, conferendo il Nobel a Eyvind Johnson, romanziere che in Italia ha lasciato scarse tracce e Harry Martinson, poeta d’angelico genio, pressoché sconosciuto (sulla scia del Nobel, Einaudi pubblica la raccolta Le erbe nella Thule, a cura di Giacomo Oreglia, nel 1975, mai più ripresa).

Harry Martinson Biographical . H arry Martinson was born at Jämshög in 1904. He was left an orphan at an early age, and after a chequered childhood, in which the children’s homes and institutions were as numerous as the escapes, he went to sea at the age of sixteen, spending six years of his life on board various ships and as a workman in foreign countries.
