Edwin Gilbert Cooley Vocational High School (also known as Cooley Vocational High School and Upper Grade Center, commonly known as Cooley High) was a public 4–year vocational high school and middle school located in the Old Town neighborhood on the Near North Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States.
At its heart, Cooley High is the story of two guys — a wannabe writer, Preach, and a star basketball player, Cochise — who are best friends on the eve of high school graduation in 1964.
29 giu 2023 · Cooley High School’s first year was in the 1958-59 school year with the first graduating class being the class of 1959. Cooley High was closed in 1979 due to the age of the building. The school was replaced by Near North High School.
