Steve "Human" Pfauter (November 7, 1963 – June 12, 2022) [2] was an American musician and set dresser and former bass guitarist for the punk rock band The Vandals, from 1980 until 1984.
The Vandals: Pirates Life (RIP Steve “Human” Pfauter) Love it. Probably my all time favorite punk band. I would like to know what the circumstances of his passing were. I was in touch with him, and he was at the hospital for his foot, and abdomen (external bruising.) I last heard from him June 7th, when he was at the hospital.
The band collects alumni Steve "Human" Pfauter and Chalmer Lumary from the group's original records, as well as vocalist Worm, and drummer James. The group's setlist usually encompasses the material recorded by the band from 1982–1984.

Steve Pfauter. Real Name: Stephen O. Pfauter. Profile: Early bass player for The Vandals. He left the band in 1984. He later played in Detox. Later went by Steve Humann as an artist. Died 12 June 2022.
The Vandals formed in 1980 with an initial lineup of singer Steven Ronald "Stevo" Jensen, guitarist Jan Nils Ackermann, bassist Steve "Human" Pfauter, and drummer Joe Escalante. Their debut EP Peace thru Vandalism was released in 1982 on Epitaph Records.
