Countess Franziska Theresia von Hohenheim (10 January 1748 in Adelmannsfelden – 1 January 1811 in Kirchheim unter Teck) was a German noblewoman. From birth she was a Baroness von Bernerdin and from 1765 onwards Baroness Leutrum von Ertingen.
Franziska Theresia Reichsgräfin von Hohenheim war seit 1772 offizielle Mätresse, seit 1785 zweite Ehefrau von Herzog Carl Eugen von Württemberg, seit 2.2.1786 Herzogin von Württemberg.
In the meantime, Charles Eugene kept a string of mistresses and fathered eleven children by them. The last of these mistresses was Franziska von Hohenheim, whom he raised to the status of Countess and married in Stuttgart on 10 or 11 January 1785. Mistresses and illegitimate issue. 7 mar 2023 · In 1774, his efforts were successful to have Franziska von Leutrum, “his Franzele,” elevated to a Countess in the Württemberg count in order to make her status befitting to his: Franziska became the Countess of Hohenheim. In Hohenheim, the couple resides in the small Garb residence.
The oldest part of the Hohenheim Gardens is the Exotic Garden, which lies to the southwest of the palace. Between 1776 and 1793 it was designed as an English garden under Duke Carl Eugen von Württemberg and his favourite and later wife Franziska von Hohenheim.
