Other True Self is an album by American guitarist and Living Colour member Vernon Reid, his third as a leader. It was recorded in October 2005 at Gigantic Studios in New York City, and was released in 2006 by Favored Nations.
It is either a blessing or a curse that Vernon Reid is known for a riff, which is among the greatest riffs in the history of rock, but even those who think back to the wild, free jazz-influenced solo from Cult of Personality may still not understand what awaits them in Reid’s solo discography.
