Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke, PC, FRS (9 March 1720 – 16 May 1790), styled Viscount Royston between 1754 and 1764, was an English politician and writer.
Through the patronage of his uncle, Philip Yorke, 2nd earl of Hardwicke, he became MP for Cambridgeshire (1780–90). An independent, he temporarily aligned himself with the whigs, but was more drawn towards the government.
Philip Yorke (1720-90), 2nd Earl of Hardwicke, was born on 9 December 1720. In 1737 he matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, from which he received the degree of LLD in 1749. In 1741 Yorke was elected to the House of Commons for Reigate, Surrey, which he continued to represent until 1747.
Philip Yorke, 1st Earl of Hardwicke, PC (1 December 1690 – 6 March 1764) was an English lawyer and politician who served as Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain. He was a close confidant of the Duke of Newcastle, Prime Minister between 1754 and 1756 and 1757 until 1762.

Philip Yorke, Viscount Royston (7 May 1784-04 Apr 1808), was Member of Parliament for Reigate but was lost at sea off Lübeck (having died without issue); Lady Anne Yorke (1783 – 17 July 1870); married John Savile, 3rd Earl of Mexborough, and had issue.
