Tristano e Isotta ( Tristan und Isolde) è un dramma musicale di Richard Wagner, su libretto dello stesso compositore. Costituisce il capolavoro del Romanticismo tedesco e, allo stesso tempo, è uno dei pilastri della musica moderna, soprattutto per il modo in cui si allontana dall'uso tradizionale dell'armonia tonale.
Isolde riprende il motivo con emozione, e la melodia porta la voce di Isolde al La alto. Da lontano, sentiamo ancora una volta per un breve momento il tenero canto di guardia di Brangäne. In seguito, una breve conversazione diurna porta al grande duetto “O ew’ge Nacht”, il finale e l’impeto d’amore.
