Hannelore (Hanni) Wenzel (born 14 December 1956) is a retired Liechtensteiner alpine ski racer. Weirather is a former Olympic, World Cup, and world champion. She won Liechtenstein's first-ever Olympic medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, and its first two Olympic gold medals four years later in Lake Placid, New York.

A name which has given Liechtenstein its illustrious sporting history; a name which resonates in the heart of a principality that is small in surface area, but great through its accomplishments: Hanni Wenzel, the champion with the golden smile, is today celebrating her 50th birthday.
With a total of four medals, Hanni Wenzel trails only Vreni Schneider and Katja Seizinger as the most successful of all women Olympic Alpine skiers. After winning a bronze medal in the slalom in 1976, Wenzel won gold in the slalom and giant slalom and a silver in the giant slalom in 1980.
31 ago 2018 · Wenzel won her first World Cup race on December 20th, 1973, sealing first place in a Giant Slalom at Zell am See. This victory set the stage for her first great triumph. A year later Wenzel went to win the gold medal in the Slalom at the FIS World Championships in St. Moritz.
