  1. Dola Ben‑Yehuda Wittmann (12 July 1902 – 18 November 2004) was the daughter of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, who was the driving spirit behind the revival of the Hebrew language in the modern era, and his second wife Hemda Ben-Yehuda.

  2. Dola and Max Wittmann, who had no children, were benefactors of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. When Dola died at the age of 103, a memorial service was held at the university’s Mount Scopus campus. She donated her body to science.
