- Le modifiche alla colonna sonora. Durante la postproduzione, la Universal chiese di cambiare alcune cose della colonna sonora, per renderla più adatta a un film horror.
- I personaggi eliminati. Nella sceneggiatura originale c’era un personaggio che poi è stato eliminato per ragioni ancora sconosciute. Il suo nome era Viola, una vecchia signora antipatica di Perdection, in Nevada.
- Gli effetti sonori riciclati. Sapevate che i versi dei Graboid erano già stati usati altrove? Il suono è stato usato prima d’ora anche in altri film, tra cui quello più recentemente anche Kong: Skull Island.
