Fernande Olivier, pseudonimo di Amélie Lang (Parigi, 6 giugno 1881 – Parigi, 29 gennaio 1966), è stata una modella e scrittrice francese, nota per avere posato per Pablo Picasso e per il libro di memorie sulla sua relazione con il pittore spagnolo.
Fernande Olivier (born Amélie Lang; 6 June 1881 – 29 January 1966) was a French artist and model known primarily for having been the model and first muse of painter Pablo Picasso, and for her written accounts of her relationship with him. Picasso painted over 60 portraits of Olivier.
Fernande Olivier, de son vrai nom Amélie Lang, née le 6 juin 1881 dans le 6e arrondissement de Paris, et morte le 29 janvier 1966 à Neuilly-sur-Seine [ 1], est une artiste peintre, surtout active dans les années 1930. Elle a été, entre autres, la compagne et le modèle de Pablo Picasso entre 1904 et 1909 [ 2].
Fernande Olivier. In 1904, in the waning years of the Blue Period, Picasso had a tough time after his friend, Carlos Casagemas, had committed suicide. The artist changed his environment radically – he moved to Paris and settled down in one of poor quarters of the city among street actors and itinerant circus performers.
