John Peter Gilmore (25 August 1931 – 3 February 2013), known as Peter Gilmore, was an English actor, known for his portrayal of Captain James Onedin in 91 episodes of the BBC television period drama The Onedin Line (1971–1980), created by Cyril Abraham.
Biografia. È noto in particolare per il ruolo del capitano James Onedin nella serie televisiva drammatica a sfondo storico Capitan Onedin (1971-1980). Ha anche ricoperto ruoli in undici film della serie cinematografica a basso costo di Carry On e interpretato il protagonista eroico nel film di avventura I signori della guerra di Atlantide (1978).
