Raising Hell is the third studio album by American hip hop group Run-D.M.C., released on May 15, 1986, by Profile Records. The album was produced by Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. Raising Hell is notable for being the first Platinum and multi-Platinum hip hop record.
In 1986, the hip hop group Run-DMC covered "Walk This Way", in collaboration with Aerosmith (with its leaders Steven Tyler and Joe Perry on vocals and guitars, respectively). While working on Raising Hell, Rick Rubin pulled out Toys in the Attic.

11 mag 2021 · Raising Hell is best known for “Walk This Way,” their unlikely collaboration with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. The story goes that Rubin pitched the idea for the song after hearing Jay scratching the introductory drum break to Aerosmith’s original version (from their 1975 album Toys in the Attic ) in the studio.
