Johnny Mars (born December 7, 1942) is an American electric blues harmonica player, singer, and songwriter. Over a long career, he has worked with Magic Sam , Earl Hooker , B.B. King , Jimi Hendrix , Jesse Fuller , Spencer Davis , Ian Gillan , Do-Re-Mi , Bananarama and Michael Roach .

This was where Johnny wanted to be, and he almost immediately played at the 100 club in Oxford Street and was able to record his first LP, Blues from Mars. Johnny made the UK his home, playing on festivals in the UK and abroad and forming various bands. He recorded Stateside with Dan Kennedy and Bill Martin in 1994.
The track Remember, midway through this excellent album, is a talking blues with Mars blowing the finest harp, and the reminiscences with Martin and Kennedy indicate the stellar platforms Mars has shared: remembering ’67 to ’68 in the Bay Area, he mentions the following – Jesse Fuller and Magic Sam, Earl Hooker, Joe Louis Walker, Albert Collins [‘The Ice Man’], Charlie Musselwhite ...
