College of the Desert (COD) is a public community college in Palm Desert, California. COD enrolls about 12,500 students, of which around one third attend college full-time. It serves the Coachella Valley of Riverside County. The college is federally recognized as a Hispanic-serving institution (HSI), receiving Title V grants.
Programs of Study. Locally approved certificates are not notated on the student's transcript in accordance with State regulations. Certificates have three designations: C (credit) certificates, L (local) certificates, and NC (noncredit) certificates.
College of the Desert is one of over 115 community colleges in California and a vital part of the world’s largest system of higher education.
