In August 2005 David released a jazz-pop-oriented solo CD on Concord Records titled The Secret of Movin' On featuring special guests Ann Wilson (Heart), Steve Perry (Journey), Timothy B. Schmidt (Eagles), Dewey Bunnell (America), and good friend jazz keyboardist David Benoit.
Other harmonic partnerships are the gently seductive title track, the Latin-flavored “The Secret Of Movin’ On (Travelin’ Light),” graced with Heart’s Ann Wilson, and the folksy, “front porch-flavored” “Tell Her Goodbye,” featuring Pack in tandem with Dewey Bunnell of America.
Poor David. He couldn't find any help for his new record. All he could dig up was Ann Wilson (Heart), Dewey Bunnell (America), Timothy B. Schmidt (Eagles), Steve Perry (ex-Journey) and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums. He got Bernie Taupin to do cover art. Wow. Must be nice to have friends.
