I primi anni. Gli April Wine si formarono a Waverley, Nuova Scozia (un sobborgo di Halifax) nel 1969 da un'idea dei fratelli David Henman (chitarra) e Ritchie Henman (batteria). La formazione fu completata da Jim Henman (basso) e Myles Goodwin (voce, chitarra).
