Peaceful World is the eighth studio album (a double - LP) by rock band The Rascals, released on May 5, 1971. It peaked at number 122 on the Billboard 200 chart. In Canada, the album reached number 50. [1] The single "Love Me" reached number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The best songs on the album are the R&B flavored songs that lean toward the old Rascals: - Bit Of Heaven. - Love Me. - Happy Song. - Love Letter. But since Eddie and Gene are no longer with the band, they don't sound or sit right. Meanwhile, the very long songs Getting Nearer and Peaceful World are okay for jazz lovers.
26 mar 2024 · In December 1970, not long after recording “Journey in Satchidananda,” Alice Coltrane took a five-week trip to the Indian subcontinent. She swam in the Ganges, visited monasteries in the Himalayan Mountains, and made pilgrimages to holy sites including Rishikesh and the Taj Mahal.
