Steven M. Berlin (born September 14, 1955, in Philadelphia) is an American saxophonist, keyboardist and record producer, best known as a member of the rock group Los Lobos and, before that, Top Jimmy & the Rhythm Pigs, the Blasters, and the Flesh Eaters.

27 lug 2021 · Philadelphia native Steve Berlin was fortunate enough to be an integral part of both groups, taking leave from the Blasters to coproduce Los Lobos’ 1984 debut, How Will The Wolf Survive?, with T Bone Burnett and quickly becoming a full-time band member.
Steve Berlin- a producer, arranger, session player, saxophonist and member of Los Lobos. Born in Philadelphia, he moved to Southern Calif. and quickly surfaced with the seminal band The Blasters. Berlin officially joined Los Lobos in 1984 after co-producing their 1983 EP ‘And a Time to Dance’.
The band evolved in the 1980s as it tapped into L.A.’s burgeoning punk and college rock scenes. They were soon sharing bills with bands like the Circle Jerks, Public Image Ltd. and the Blasters, whose saxophonist, Steve Berlin, would eventually leave the group to join Los Lobos in 1984.
