Salad Days is the twelfth solo album by Adrian Belew, originally released on February 9, 1999. It is a collection of acoustic recordings old and new. The album consists primarily of acoustic reworkings of Belew's own songs along with three King Crimson songs and two
trivia points. because we put out the two volumes of acoustic versions of my songs on our own, we felt they hadn’t reached the full audience they might have with a proper record label. so we made a “licensing deal” with Thirsty Ear Records. well, that and they waved a little money at us.

A mellow collection of original tunes by the usually hyper-active and creatively daring Adrian Belew. Since his first album in 1982 and after years of success as a solo artist and member of King Crimson, he had more than enough material to put together the 1998 acoustic 'Salad Days'.
