James Wright Foley (October 18, 1973 – c. August 19, 2014) was an American journalist and video reporter. While working as a freelance war correspondent during the Syrian Civil War, he was abducted on November 22, 2012, in northwestern Syria.
Biografia. Debutta nel 1984 con il film Amare con rabbia, in seguito dirige A distanza ravvicinata con Sean Penn. Nel 1986 inizia una collaborazione con la cantante Madonna, dirigendo i videoclip dei suoi brani Live to Tell, Papa Don't Preach, True Blue, e dirigendola nel film Who's That Girl.
