Phyllis è una serie televisiva statunitense in 48 episodi trasmessi per la prima volta dalla CBS nel corso di 2 stagioni dal 1975 al 1977. In Italia la serie è arrivata il 28 settembre 1981 su Canale 5. È il secondo spin-off della serie Mary Tyler Moore (il primo è Rhoda).
Il nome è una ripresa del personaggio mitologico Phyllis (reso in italiano con Filide o Fillide), che per sfuggire a Demofonte si trasformò in un nocciolo. Cominciò ad essere usato come nome proprio di persona in Inghilterra dal XVI secolo , anche se veniva spesso confuso con Felicia [1] .

Phyllis is an American sitcom television series that aired on CBS from September 8, 1975, to March 13, 1977. Created mainly by Ed. Weinberger and Stan Daniels , it was the second spinoff of The Mary Tyler Moore Show (the first being Rhoda ).
Phyllis hasn't made many friends since moving to San Francisco. So she joins a singles group for lonely people and meets Shirley, who drives her nuts.
Phyllis Lindstrom returned home to her hometown of San Francisco following the death of her husband Lars. In her mid-40s, and with a teenage daughter to support, Phyllis moved in with Lars' scatter-brained mother, Audrey, and Audrey's second husband, Judge Jonathan Dexter.
