Dorotheus of Bulgaria. Dorotheus ( Bulgarian: Доротей) was a Patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in the beginning of the 14th century. His name is known only from the medieval Book of Boril where he is listed as the seventh Patriarch presiding over the Bulgarian Church from Tarnovo, the capital of the Bulgarian Empire.
At the end of the day, one could argue that Dorothea Bulgaria, the wife of the first Bosnian king, was both the most powerful woman and one of the most important historical figures of South Slavs. It was during the reign of her and her husband, Tvrtko I Kotromanić, that the Bosnian kingdom was established.

Dorothea of Bulgaria (Bosnian: Doroteja /Доротеја; died in cca 1390) was the first Queen of Bosnia. She was the daughter of Emperor Ivan Sratsimir of Bulgaria and his wife Anna of Wallachia. Louis I, King of Hungary, retained her and her sister at the Hungarian court after her father was restored in 1370.
