Ellen Svinhufvud (née Timgren; 23 December 1869 – 24 August 1953) was the wife of Finland's third president, Pehr Evind Svinhufvud, serving as the First Lady of Finland from 1931 until 1937. She married Pehr Evind Svinhufvud in 1889, and the couple had six children.

In 1889 he married his third cousin, Ellen Timgren, and the couple had six children: two daughters and four sons. Svinhufvud’s career in law advanced steadily, climbing the ladder at the Turku Court of Appeal. At the age of 31 he was appointed as a member of the Senate’s law-drafting committee.

Pehr Evind Svinhufvud (born in 1861, died in 1944) was the Chairman of the Senate that declared and fulfilled the national independence of Finland in 1917. He was the Prime Minister during 1917-1918 and Finland´s first Head of State in 1918.
Svinhufvud oli kuusi vuotta mukana suunnittelemassa laajamittaista verouudistusta. Hän piti työtä puuduttavana ja siirtyi Turun hovioikeuden asessoriksi 1902 asettaen tavoitteekseen maalaistuomarin rauhallisen elämän. Naimisiin Svinhufvud meni kolmannen serkkunsa Ellen Timgrenin kanssa.
18 nov 2020 · Rouva Ellen Svinhufvudin tarmokas työnteko piti Kotkaniemeä pystyssä aikana, jolloin silloinen kihlakunnantuomari Pehr Evind kärsi karkotustuomiota Siperiassa venäläistämistoimien vastustamisesta, tai kuten tuomio tuolloin virallisesti määriteltiin, yhteiskuntarauhan uhkaamisesta.
