Website of the female Tibetan/Swiss artist Sonam Dolma Brauen: paintings and installations.

Sonam Dolma Brauen (born 1953) is a Tibetan-Swiss contemporary painter and sculptor.
Born in 1953, Sonam Dolma Brauen spent the first six years of her life in Tibet. Due to the Chinese occupation of Tibet, she fled across the Himalayan mountains with her family to India in 1959.
Personal biographies, political histories, and Tibetan Buddhist beliefs and practices inform Sonam Dolma Brauen’s sculpture My Father’s Death (2010). Born in 1953 in Tibet, Sonam and her family fled their homeland when she was a child.
Sonam Dolma Brauen ist eine zeitgenössische tibetisch-schweizerischer Malerin und Bildhauerin. Vier ihrer Werke sind in der Ausstellung «Erleuchtet» zu sehen.
