17 feb 2009 · This recording is both exciting and beautiful and his companions are all giants - recorded back in the early 70s. Half of the cuts include the original New Grass Alliance with Sam Bush while the other half include essentially the "Sundance" band from California with Byron Berline and Vince Gill among them. "If the Devil Dreamed...."

In 1977 he recorded "Lady's Fancy." a solo album that marked his return to Bluegrass. In the late 1970s, Berline teamed up once again with Crary and five string banjoist John Hickman for a tour of Japan. That trio went on to become known as BCH.
